Election Notices

A General Municipal Election will be held in the City of Lakewood on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 for three members of the City Council: Council Districts 1, 2 and 5, for a full term of four years.

Declaration of Candidacy forms will be made available beginning on Feb. 9, 2026, and continuing until 5 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2026, at the City Clerk’s Office, City Hall, 5050 Clark Avenue, Lakewood, CA 90712 during regular business hours.

Any person seeking to obtain nomination documents must contact the City Clerk's Office by phone at 562 866-9771, extension 2202 or by email at cityclerk@lakewoodca.gov, to make an appointment to obtain the documents.

The deadline for filing nomination papers is 5 p.m. on March 6, 2026.

City Hall regular business hours are Monday–Thursday, 7:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m. and alternating Fridays, 7:30 a.m.–5 p.m.

City Hall will be closed on Friday, Feb. 13, Monday, Feb. 16 and Friday, Feb. 27, 2026.
