If your pocketbook allows, please consider donating to organizations that support people in need in our community, including:

Friends of the Lakewood Libraries — Volunteers support Lakewood libraries and organize book sales to fund new materials. The organization also provides scholarships to Lakewood students.
Lakewood Pan American Association — Since 1946, this organization has provided cultural and educational opportunities for the community, including annual scholarships for Lakewood students.
Domestic violence shelters, such as Su Casa.
Hospice care services, such as Pathways Volunteer Hospice.
Educational foundations supporting students from elementary through college, including those providing technology, food and other assistance. For K–12 programs, donate to the Lakewood Education Foundation.
Student emergency funds for local colleges, including Long Beach City College, Cerritos College, and California State University, Long Beach.
Food banks and aid to families in need, such as Lakewood’s Project Shepherd. You can also donate to Project Shepherd online.
Meal delivery services for seniors and homebound residents, such as Meals on Wheels. You can also donate online.
