Promote your business

Lakewood supports our business community by creating ways for residents and visitors to discover local places to shop, dine and visit.

Public-facing businesses can use City promotional opportunities to highlight openings, anniversaries, expansions, special recognitions and other updates that help tell the story of Lakewood’s business community.

The City is also building Discover Lakewood, an interactive map where residents and visitors can explore Lakewood consumer-facing businesses by category and location.

The Shop, Dine & Do page features visitor information, video spotlights and other ways to explore Lakewood.

Ways the City may promote local businesses

Business updates may be shared through City communication channels such as the weekly eMagazine, social media channels and occasional CityTV spotlights.

Examples of updates that may be shared include:

  • Grand openings and ribbon cuttings
  • Business anniversaries and milestone celebrations
  • Expansions, remodels or relocations
  • Seasonal specials or limited-time promotions
  • Special recognitions, awards or community involvement
  • Campaigns such as Small Business Week and Small Business Saturday

Many updates will be shared in business roundups so the City can include more Lakewood businesses over time.
