Promote your business

Lakewood’s local businesses are essential to our community. The City is committed to supporting you — and to helping more people discover the places that make Lakewood a great place to shop, dine, and enjoy activities.

To strengthen that connection, the City is building Discover Lakewood, a new interactive map where residents and nearby visitors can explore Lakewood consumer-facing businesses. Our Shop, Dine & Do page will feature New and Notable businesses and video spotlights of local businesses, as well as information for visitors to Lakewood.

We’re launching in phases, starting now with a simple Business Update Form so you can add your business profile and share any updates you’d like the City to consider for future roundups and features.

Coming soon

We will roll out in phases, including:

  • New and Notable updates (grand openings, expansions, relocations, and more)
  • Business Milestones (anniversaries and celebrations)
  • Special promotions and campaigns (such as Small Business Week and Small Business Saturday)
  • Discover Lakewood, an interactive map of Lakewood consumer-facing businesses

While the full page is under development, we welcome Lakewood business owners to start sharing updates now so we can begin featuring business news through our eMagazine and social channels.

Please note: Listings are for general information and are not an endorsement.

Why submit a Business Update form

If you own or manage a consumer-facing storefront business in Lakewood, the Business Update Form allows you to:

  • Share business news like openings, expansions, remodels, and seasonal specials (Small Business Week or Small Business Saturday)
  • Submit milestone anniversaries (1st, 5th, 10th, etc.) so the City can recognize and celebrate your business
  • Opt in to receive communications about City business programs and opportunities
  • Be considered for occasional CityTV spotlights, selected through a fair rotation or random draw

How to participate

Complete the Business Update Form to submit your business profile information (to help build Discover Lakewood) and, if you like, any coming news about your business.

Your profile information is a one-time request. If you move or other key information changes, you would want to provide it again the next time you submit an update.

How the form works:

  • First time: Submit your profile information and share any business news you have now — or skip the update section if you’re just signing up.
  • Next time: If your profile information hasn’t changed, just share your news update!

You can submit the form anytime you have something to share.

Business profile information

You only need to complete this portion of the form once, unless something changes.

We'll ask for:

  • Business name, street address, zip code and phone number
  • Website and/or Facebook and Instagram handles
  • Business hours (link to your hours is best)
  • A one-sentence description of your business
  • Up to three categories/tags that help customers find you
  • Contact name and email address
  • A one-sentence description about your business
  • A photo of your business (optional) and permission for the City to repost it (Please submit photos you have the rights to share.)

Businesses that sign up can also opt in to hear about City business programs, grant opportunities and economic development updates.
