Lakewood is served by two water utilities: Golden State Water Company and the City of Lakewood.

Residents who live east of the San Gabriel River are served by Golden State Water Company. Contact Golden State Water at 1-800-999-4033 or email customerservice@gswater.com.

Water service and billing

You can pay your water and trash bill in person, by mail or online. The city’s online bill payment option is provided through WaterSmart, a third-party website that also provides reports on your water use.

Water repair and shut-offs

Call the Water Resources Department to report a leak at 562-866-9771, ext. 2700.

After business hours, call 562-866-9771 and follow the automated instructions to page an on-call staff member.
