Lakewood’s long-standing commitment to fun and affordable events for families continues this summer with the “Finally it’s Friday” event series.
Programs run Friday evenings from June to September.
Activities include movies, game nights, a BBQ and “FUN-Tastic Family Night” events, which pair live entertainment with dinner.
Registration is required for most events. Many are free.
June 6: FUN-Tastic Family Night featuring Mad Science L.A.--Sounds Like Science

June 20: Monte Verde Park Movie Night Under the Stars featuring Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (PG)
July 11: Play at Palms Movie Night Under the Stars featuring Captain America: Brave New World (PG-13)
July 18: FUN-Tastic Family Night featuring Cool Critter Show
July 25: "Dive In" Movie Night at Mayfair Pool featuring Moana 2 (PG)
Aug. 1: Parents Night Out, Kids Night In
Aug. 8: Play at Palms Community BBQ
Aug. 15: Biscailuz Park Movie Night Under the Stars featuring Mufasa: The Lion King (PG)
Sept. 12: Play at Palms Concert in the Outfield featuring Ivan Estrella de Los Angeles (Mariachi)
Sept. 19: FUN-Tastic Family Night featuring Swashbuckling Pirate Show
All FUN-Tastic Family Night events are held at The Centre.
