Adaptive Recreation
Lakewood offers an Adaptive Recreation Program at Bloomfield Park for participants with disabilities or additional support needs.
Recreation staff plan, implement and supervise weekly activities for participants.
Meeting details
Participants meet Tuesdays from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
There are four sessions throughout the year: winter, spring, summer and fall.

Activities
Activities may include arts and crafts, athletics, life skills workshops, special events and small trips to local businesses.
Bloomfield Park staff also facilitate special events for participants throughout the year.

Transportation support
Additional program support comes from Lakewood DASH Transit, which provides free transportation to and from the program for Lakewood resident participants.
