CrimeMapping.com is a free, public online tool that helps residents to view and understand crime activity in their community. Using an interactive map, you can search by address, neighborhood or near a local law enforcement agency to view recent crime reports.

The map shows reported incidents from the past six months and is updated regularly based on information provided by participating law enforcement agencies. It’s designed to give residents a general overview of crime trends and activity in their community.

What information does the map show?

CrimeMapping.com displays many types of reported crimes, using simple symbols to make the map easy to understand. These may include:

  • Property crimes such as burglary, theft, vehicle theft and break-ins, vandalism and arson
  • Violent crimes such as homicide, assault and robbery
  • Drug- and alcohol-related offenses, including DUI
  • Fraud and other financial crimes

Some sensitive crimes may not appear on the map to protect privacy.

A few things to know

  • Not all crimes may appear right away due to reporting timelines or agency settings.
  • The map is a public information tool and does not replace official police reports.
  • For older records or more detailed information, residents should contact their local law enforcement agency.

Data Source and Accuracy CrimeMapping.com operates with the approval of participating law enforcement agencies. Crime and sex offender data is provided directly by those agencies through authorized channels, remains their property and is not scraped. The site serves as a public information resource and is not responsible for the detailed content of individual reports.

CrimeMapping.com is one more way residents can stay informed and aware of activity in their community.
