Swim hours as summer winds down

The best way to stay cool during a heatwave is to be in the pool! 

Daily recreational swimming at Mayfair and McCormick pools continues through Aug. 23, with sessions from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and 2:45 to 4:15 p.m.

Admission fees

• $1 for Lakewood residents ages 17 and younger; $1.50 for Lakewood residents ages 18 and older

• $2 for nonresidents ages 17 and younger; $3 for nonresidents ages 18 and older

Wading pools

Wading pools for children ages 3 to 7 are open on select days from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Aug. 23. The ADA-accessible wading pool at Palms Park is open daily.

Swim lessons

Swim lessons are also available through August. View class information and register online through the Lakewood eCatalog.

Labor Day weekend...and through September

McCormick Pool and Mayfair Pool are open Labor Day weekend, Sept. 5-7, for kids and adults to enjoy recreational swim. 

Mayfair Pool September hours

Recreation swim will be held on weekends only from Sept. 12-26, in addition to being open Labor Day. 

Sessions are from 1 to 2:30 p.m. and 2:45 to 4:15 p.m.

Resident fees are $1 for children and $1.50 for adults (age 18+). Nonresident fees are $2 for children and $3 for adults (age 18+). 

Private swim lessons will be offered through the month of September.
