Community Gardens

Lakewood Community Gardens offers a unique outdoor opportunity for residents of all ages to grow plants, enjoy Southern California’s year-round growing season and connect with other gardeners.

The gardens are located on Candlewood Street between Woodruff Avenue and Palo Verde Avenue.

The City of Lakewood provides water and general maintenance for the overall facility.

Garden plot information

• The 3-acre site is divided into 323 individual gardening plots that are 10 feet by 15 feet.
• Plots are available to Lakewood residents only on a first-come, first-served basis.
• The annual fee is $15 for January through December.
