Crime prevention is up to all of us

Neighborhood Watch is a program that brings neighbors together to help prevent crime in their community.

Participants learn how to reduce opportunities for crime rather than trying to change criminal behavior.

Block captains and residents are supported by Lakewood’s Public Safety Department and members of the Sheriff’s Station Special Assignment Officer (SAO) team.

With Neighborhood Watch, you can:

• Learn crime prevention strategies from the Sheriff’s Station Special Assignment Team and the City’s Public Safety Department.
• Learn about emergency preparedness and response to natural and man-made disasters.
• Receive a monthly newsletter with safety tips.
• Attend quarterly informational seminars hosted by Public Safety and partner agencies.
