Lakewood parks are safe, clean and fun

Lakewood’s Recreation and Community Services Department helps keep neighborhood parks safe, clean and welcoming places for children to enjoy supervised, self-directed activities after school.

Trained recreation staff are available during posted supervision hours. Children can be creative, stay active, socialize with friends and check out supplies to use at the park.

Available supplies may include:

  • Playground equipment
  • Board games
  • Arts and crafts supplies

Park supervision hours may adjust to school schedules, including early dismissal days and holidays. Check with your local park staff to learn about current hours, activities and programs.
