Monte Verde Park

Monte Verde Park, Lakewood, CA

Monte Verde Park features the S. Mark Taper Foundation Vista Lodge, a nature trail and an amphitheater on the west side of the San Gabriel River.

The 3,000-square-foot Vista Lodge is a reinterpretation of a classic mountain lodge, with exposed beams, a great room with a fireplace and a wall of windows overlooking the park and covered patio.

The park also includes a landscaped amphitheater, fire ring and a quarter-mile nature trail that loops around the perimeter of the park. The trail features elements of the native California landscape, including an oak grove, dry creek and fern dell.
