ROUTINE ITEMS:

PUBLIC HEARINGS:
1.1 COLLECTION OF DELINQUENT RUBBISH FEES – It is recommended City Council 1) conduct a public hearing; and 2) adopt Resolution No. 2026-38, confirming the Report of Delinquent Fees. 1.2 COLLECTION OF 90-DAY DELINQUENT ADMINISTRATIVE CITATION FINES – It is recommended City Council 1) conduct a lien hearing pursuant to LMC Section 4908.3 and consider all competent evidence presented related to any outstanding delinquent fine amounts, late fees, and related costs from fiscal year 2025-2026; 2) adopt Resolution No. 2026-34, finding that the final list of delinquent 2025-2026 fines and related costs is due to the City as the cost of the nuisance abatement; 3) order the outstanding delinquent fines to be paid; and 4) direct staff to forward a final list of the unpaid fines to the County Tax Assessor for collection as a lien on the related properties, as part of each property’s annual property tax assessment. 1.3 COLLECTION OF NUISANCE ABATEMENT COSTS FOR 5557 GONDAR AVENUE – It is recommended City Council adopt Resolution No. 2026-39, ordering the costs of abatement to be assessed as a lien for $4,890 against the parcel of land commonly known as 5557 Gondar Avenue, Lakewood, California. The “Public Comments” portion of the agenda is the time set aside for members of the public to address the City Council on items listed on the agenda. The “Oral Communications” portion of the agenda is reserved for comments on matters not listed on the agenda. Anyone wishing to speak before the City Council, whether attending in person or remotely, must first be recognized by the Mayor. Speakers may state their name for the record. Individuals attending in person should approach the podium, and remote participants may request to speak by following the procedures outlined on the first page of the agenda. Public comments and questions pertaining to any item on the agenda will also be accepted via email at cityclerk@lakewoodca.gov until 8 a.m. on the day of the meeting or by delivering them in person to the City Clerk’s Office at Lakewood City Hall, 5050 Clark Avenue, Lakewood, CA 90712.
